Hello, Lompoc Valley Democrats!

Canvass Alert!!

Saturday, Sept. 30, 10:00 a.m., and Sunday, Oct. 1, 1:00p.m.  Meet at the office.

* We will continue our Canvassing for Joan Hartmann

Fewer than 160 days until the election!

Carson Link, team leader for Joan, says "This is the most crucial election in Lompoc’s lifetime and people like you all are the reasons why our town will be the deciding voting base in District 3 for the next decade.

"Our city is on the cusp of becoming more influential than it has ever been. There has never been a more important time to volunteer."

Note: Canvassing will continue every  weekend through the first weekend in March.

Although the canvassing is being organized by Joan's campaign, she has been endorsed by the Central Committee, so we are all officially on the Joan Train.

This is a “get-to-know- your-supervisor” and issue identification walk.

We are canvassing all likely voters, not just Dems.  If you don't want to go to a non-Dem house, just skip it and someone else can pick it up later.

We will also have phone lists for non-walkers to call!

There will be coffee and food at the office for walking sustenance, and even some surprise elected walkers!

REMEMBER: In the Primary, if Joan gets 50% + 1 vote, she doesn't have to run again in November!!

and finally...

* Last Call for Voters for the Pre-Endorsement Convention in October

The Lompoc Valley Democratic Club has been apportioned five (5) voting delegates to the Pre-Endorsement Convention in October.

Basically it's voting for the endorsement of our candidate for our Assembly district.

It's a pretty easy task; the voting will take place somewhere in Santa Barbara County in October (but may most likely be a mail-in ballot).

If you'd like to get involved please let me know.  Warning: I'm just going to start appointing people if no one volunteers...

That's about it for now, but stay tuned for updates!

Thanks for your attention and consideration,

Onward,

And remember...Democrats Rule - Republicans Drool!

Leah
